Fountain Pen Ink Journal

Last updated: 30 May 2026

Fountain Pen Ink Journal (“the app”) is designed to be completely private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

The app collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Information we collect

None. The developer has no access to any data you create in the app. The app does not transmit your inks, pens, journal entries, photos, wishlist, ratings, or any other content off your device.

Data stored on your device

All of your content — your ink and pen collections, currently-inked pairings, journal entries and any photos you attach, wishlist items, ratings, and notes — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). This data is included in your device’s normal encrypted backups (iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes backups) if you have those enabled; that is handled by Apple, not by this app.

Photos

If you attach a photo to a journal entry, the app reads the image you select through Apple’s standard photo picker and stores a copy inside the app’s local database on your device. Photos are never uploaded anywhere.

Tracking

The app does not track you and contains no third-party tracking SDKs. Its App Store privacy manifest declares no tracking and no data collection.

Children's privacy

The app does not collect any data from anyone, including children. It is rated 4+.
